Yield: 8 pigs in a blanket

Materials

  • 1 8 oz tube of crescent rolls
  • 1 12 oz package of vegan mini-sausages
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter

vegan egg wash

  • 1 tbsp chickpea flour
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tbsp neutral oil

Toppings

  • black sesame seeds
  • flaky sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F
  • On a lightly floured surface, unroll crescent roll and tear where perforated. Cut each triangle in half
  • Depending on sausage, you might have to precook them. But either way, roll each triangle piece with a rolling pin and put the mini sausage on the wider side and gradually roll onto the thinner side.
  • Put all the pigs in a blanket on a baking tray that is lined with parchment paper or a reusable baking mat. Brush with melted butter.
  • In a bowl, mix together chickpea flour, water, and oil. This is your "egg wash". Brush on top and add the sesame seeds and flaky salt on top.
  • Bake until golden, 12-15 minutes. Serve with ketchup and mustard.
