Lychee Limeade

This Lychee Limeade is sweet and sour. But with the addition of the East Asian Lychee it's floral and fruity. This is a refreshing drink to have any time of year and requires so little ingredients.

Materials

Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Other Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup lime juice
  • 10 lychees fresh (deseeded and lightly smashed) or canned
  • 2 quarts water
  • 2 cups ice
  • mint leaves as garnish

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, add the water and syrup. Heat until it is brought to a boil and it's thickened slightly (about 5 minutes). Let cool.
  • In a pitcher, add water, lime juice and lychees. Mix in the sugar syrup and taste to adjust sweetness.
  • To serve, put ice and pour in limeade. Serve with mint leave and lime circle (optional)
