Easiest "Nooch" (Nutritional Yeast) Popcorn

This nutritional yeast popcorn recipe is a super easy and quick snack. Serve a bowl to your family and friends because it is a sure crowd-pleaser.

Equipment

  • Large Tupperware
  • Saucepot

Materials

  • 1 bag microwave popcorn (no salt or butter)
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter or coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • other flavorings (per your preference)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Put the bag of popcorn in the microwave and pop it based on manufactuar's instructions.
  • Melt the vegan butter and mix the nutritional yeast in a saucepan. Once it is combined to make a paste, add the salt.
  • Take a large Tupperware and put in the popcorn. Pour the butter mixture in and close the lid on top.
  • Shake. Shake it vigorously until everything is coated in the mixture.
  • Taste it and see if it needs more flavor.
  • On a tray big enough to hold the popcorn, place it in the oven for 3-5 minutes, until crisp. (optional)
  • Take it out and serve immediately . Enjoy!

Notes

To make your own popcorn, in a large pot, add 3 tbsp of coconut oil or butter. Once hot, add 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels. Cover with a top and let it do its thing. Resume this recipe from step 3.
