This Strawberry Acai Refresher is just like the Starbucks drink, but half the price. It’s easy to make and makes many drinks to share with family and friends. And it’s so delicious! Perfect for a hot day.
My friend introduced this drink to me. We used to get it with extra raspberry syrup, but they discontinued it. Without the raspberry syrup, it didn’t taste as good. This is my attempt to recreate this drink in my own home and surprise my friend. I have to say it turned out pretty well, plus it has fresh strawberries added to it.
If you haven’t had this drink before, it’s fruity and refreshing, like its name suggests. This is my favorite drink in the summer and I hope you try it and enjoy it too. Recipe below!

Ingredients for Strawberry Acai Refresher
- Sugar. This is to sweeten it, but also to soften the strawberries for the cup.
- Raspberries to make the raspberry syrup. It really adds a nice fruity flavor and adds a little acidity to combat the sweetness and bitterness of the teas.
- Strawberries. The Original drink has dried strawberries added, but fresh strawberries taste and look so much better.
- Passionfruit tea. A little hard to find, but it gives a unique flavor to the drink. If you can’t find it, try to find unsweetened passion fruit juice.
- Green tea for the caffeine. You can also add green coffee bean extract, but that’s harder to find. You can also omit to make it caffeine-free
- Acai powder. You can find this at most health food stores. It’s a superfood.

Strawberry Acai Drink
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup passion fruit tea
- 1/4 tsp acai powder
- 1/4 cup raspberry syrup more for lining the cup
- 1 1/2 tbsp green tea
Instructions
- To make the raspberry syrup, add sugar, water, and raspberry to a pot. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer. Simmer until raspberries break down and it begins to thicken (about 10-15 minutes). Strain and let let cool.
- Wash and slice the strawberries. Place in a bowl and sprinkle sugar on top. Mix and let stand until strawberries soften and liquid seeps out.
- Brew hot water for teas. Place the passionfruit and green tea bags in separate cups. Cover with hot water and let seep according to instructions. It usually takes about 2-5 minutes. Remove tea bags and let cool.
- To prepare a cup, add the raspberry syrup to the bottom. I like to line the sides as well. Spoon in sliced strawberries, ice, teas, and acai powder. Mix with a spoon and serve cold.
- You should have enough raspberry syrup and strawberries to make several other drinks. Share with friends and family.
