Rose Latte

This Rose Latte is the perfect way to start your morning. It gives you energy and is so pretty, that you will keep wanting more.

Anybody who knows me knows I am not the biggest fan of coffee. I am definitely a tea drinker all the way. But sometimes I like to branch out. This drink is perfect because I get to practice my *nonexistent* latte art skills and still have something that I will enjoy drinking.

Plus the color is just so bright and springy.

This is great for anyone who likes experimenting in the kitchen and loves starting their day with a hot drink.

Rose Latte

Ingredients for Rose Latte

  • Rose petals. This will be where you get the rose flavor from. I saw some versions add rosewater, but I found it too strong for me.
  • Milk. Dairy milk or soy milk works best for frothing purposes. This is because you need milk with a high protein content.
  • Beetroot powder. To add more vibrant color naturally. This is optional.
  • Maple syrup. To add sweetness. You can also use agave, honey, or sugar. Whichever you like.

Materials

  • 1 tbsp rose petals
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk or soy milk
  • 1/4 tsp beetroot powder
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or agave or honey

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, add your water and bring to a boil. Turn off heat and add your rose petals. Cover with a top or plate. Let seep for 5-7 minutes.
  • Strain it. Mix in your sweetener of choice and beetroot powder.
  • Put your milk in your frother. Be sure not to overfill it or it will spill. Once your milk is ready, pour on top with any design you want. I like to decorate the top with more dried rose petals.
  • Mix together and enjoy warm.
